frequently asked questions

A.We can add basic catering to any yacht charter at the rate of $23 per person.
We can also provide more sophisticated catering upon request, please click here to check out different options and prices.
A. You are allowed to bring your own beverages on any boat and yacht charter.
A. For PowerBoat Rentals the rate only includes the boat rental. Additional charges are 10% for taxes and service fee, plus fuel. You may pump yourself or we will charge at the marina's daily rate for fuel. If you would like to have a captain the cost is $35/hour.
For our Yacht Charters the rate includes Captain, Stewardess, Local Cruising Fuel (up to 40 gallons), and refreshments (non-alcoholic). Tax is an additional 10% and we also recommend a 15% gratuity for the crew.
A. All rentals (powerboats and yachts) have a $1000 deposit that is charged on the day of the rental. This is for incidentals and will be refunded upon return.
A. As per Coast Guard Regulations we may only have up to 12 people on any yacht charter.
For parties of 12 or more please call us for details. We do have party boats that can accommodate larger numbers of people.
A. Yes you may go snorkeling or wake boarding or any other water activities however we do not provide gear. Our captains are very knowledgeable of the waters and the areas where you can go to do each activity.
A.Our power boats cannot go any more south than Elliot Key any more North than Haulover Beach. Power boats cannot go on the ocean.
A.Yes, all of our yachts can travel to the Islands. Please call us or email us if you are planning a trip to the Islands so that we can give you an exact quote.
A.There is no permit required, only your identification and a credit card.
A.Cancellations within 72 hours of rental day will receive a full refund
Cancellations within 48 hours of rental day will receive a 50% refund
There will be no refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of rental day.
A.Yes we have captains for all powerboat rentals at $35/hour upon request
A.You will be responsible for any damages to propellers. The minimum charge is $400. We offer Insurance for propellers for $50 if you would like to be safe. We also offer Collission insurance for $50.
A.On trips to the Bahamas and other Islands you must pay for Fuel, Port charges, Dockage, Permits, etc. We often calculate this as a 10% of the total rate for your charter. Fuel to the Bahamas is approximately $1000 round trip, port charges/permits approximately $400, dockage approximately $250.
On trips to Key West there are no permits but fuel will be almost double because of the distance.
A.According to the law as well as U.S. Coast Guard, 12 is the maximum number of passengers allowed on non-certified Yacht.
A.The only time the size of the yacht determines the number of passengers allowed is when your charter is aboard a certified party vessel. For all sport Yacht and private motor Yacht, the maximum is 12 regardless.
A.The 12 passenger maximum does not include crew in that number. Please keep in mind though, additional staff, such as caterers, who are not part of the vessel crew, will be counted toward the maximum capacity.
